Packed with flavor and health benefits, these Oven Roasted Cauliflower Steaks are nutritious, as well as delicious. Cauliflower provides vitamins C and K, while turmeric and cumin offer anti-inflammatory and digestive support. Smoked paprika adds rich flavor, and garlic boosts heart health and immunity. Oven roasted to golden perfection, they make a wholesome, plant-based main or side dish that’s as nourishing as it is delicious.

Ingredients (organic/biodynamic):

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 tsp. ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp. ground cumin
  • ½ tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp. Celtic Sea salt®
  • ½ tsp. of freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Slice the cauliflower heads into 1-inch-thick pieces, and place onto the baking sheet. You should have 3-4 full slices from each cauliflower head. The ends can be saved for another recipe or added to the sheet pan and roasted too.
  3. In a small bowl mix the turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, salt and pepper with 3 tablespoons of water. Brush the cauliflower steaks with spice mixture on both sides.
  4. Bake cauliflower steaks in the oven for 10 minutes on each side, or until tender and slightly browned. Can be broiled for an additional 2-3 minutes if more color is desired.
  5. Remove from oven and serve. Garnish with parsley if desired.
